This Pinot Gris is a genuine people pleaser. A zippy, citrus-driven French style that’s fresh, textural, harmonious and lingers just long enough. Not too heavy, not too light, it’s the Goldilocks of the whites. Region: King Valley & Yarra Valley Alc/Vol: 13.5% Smells like: Fresh cut pears, snow peas shoots and lemon thyme Tastes like: Lime flowers and miso. Crisp, bone dry and moreish with twangy lemon sorbet finish Goes with: Beer battered whiting with chips and tartare, fresh oysters, goats cheese and chargrilled vegies. Lofty goals and little pleasures.

Terrasse is a seamless, skilfully blended cuvée of Chenin Blanc with 54% Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Roussanne, Viognier and Marsanne. Barrel-fermented and aged in older oak, it's floral, spicy and intense, marrying citrus, pear and clementine flavours and a touch of tannic grip. 2023-28. Wine Advocate 91 points. 2022 was an excellent follow on from the excellent 2021 vintage. This 2022 Killerman's Run Riesling is spritely, inchoate and so tightly coiled at this point that the acidity and the phenolics are seamlessly intertwined. Really great value here—pristine Riesling. From older vines off the Mort Block. This is tightly packed riesling, concentrated and super, extra lemon-limey, a racy number with high refreshment factor and stacks of get up and go. Good perfume that delivers all that citrus but quite a lot of florals in jasmine and lemon blossom too. A little chalkiness to the texture is also a treat. WINERY NOTE: Chardonnay is a variety that allows you more freedom to make wines in a style that you like more than any other. Ours you will get a more delicate subtle version, moreish and complex. Grapes from our Morrison Vineyard were whole bunch pressed directly to barrel, fermented naturally using the vineyard yeasts, all in older French oak. A wine with delicate fruit flavours, some savoury complexity, nuttiness & vanilla, with a soft palate of pith like mineral texture, all underpinned by fine acidity. Matured for just under a year on lees prior to hand bottling without filtration. Certified organic, Morrison vineyard, Pisa.

A delicious off dry style from a cooler vintage for Central Otago. Whole bunch pressed, fermentation in a mixture stainless steel barrels and tanks, wild yeasts, no temperature control and aged on gross less for 3 months. RS 10g/l Floral and citrus aromas, flavours of kaffir limes and grapefruit, some initial sweetness underpinned by herbal mineral characters and ending dry with refreshing acidity. 12 % alc, medium weight in an off dry style. Hand picked, racked to used oak for natural 10-day fermentation, the barrels topped and stirred for eight months. I'm convinced fiano has an exceptional future in many parts of Australia, what with its inbuilt texture, structure and savoury citrus flavours. This is a fine example of the variety. 93 points. The fruit is crushed to the press, settled and racked to tank for a cold ferment and lees ageing. Scented white flowers and lemony freshness with a cleansing palate. The fruit has good integrity, and the mid-palate has pleasing texture and breadth, plus soft, rounded edges. It is a harmonious, balanced drink with a beautiful limey core. Jeni Port 96 points. A natural cool beauty, Watervale combines stunning aromatics – apple blossom, white flowers – with lingering aromas of Tahitian lime, lemon, grapefruit. Citrus and talc florals work hand in hand here. Soft, textural acidity offers a solid foundation for the brisk lemony brightness and lime cordial intensity of the fruit. Sweet Wine of the Year. Score awarded by the Halliday tasting panel at the annual Awards judging. DB writes: A wonderful sweet riesling sporting 139g RS from Tasmania's Coal River Valley. The acidity is the key here. It tempers the sweetness and provides a minerally frame on which the unctuous fruit is tautly stretched. Green apple, lime, fresh and candied rinds, an array of wildflower notes, apple pie, crushed stone and toffee apple. I love the 'R' designations on the Pressing Matters rieslings. From R0 for bone-dry to R139 for sweet, they are an indication of the RS in the wine. The R9, in theory, should teeter on that fulcrum between dry and off-dry, but that crystalline Tasmanian acidity tempers any sweetness and it appears dry. Sophisticated and powerful on the nose, combining tropical and citrusfruits aromas. Complemented with white fruit and flowers hints. On the palate fresh, complex, unctuous, well balanced, with a long and pleasant aftertaste. Serve ice cold.

The Rustenberg Stellenbosch Chardonnay is traditionally barrel-fermented, and with juicy, peachy fruit and a combination of factors from the vineyard adding complexity, wild yeast and careful barrel age, it offers balance, expression and value in every vintage. A ripe medium, full-bodied and well-balanced wine, with hints of flint, beautiful mineral notes and excellent oak integration. Apricot and orange-peel aromas are followed by flavours of almond and marzipan.  

VITICULTURE These grapes are sourced from our neighbour’s vineyard at The Foundry’s home farm in Voor Paardeberg, and managed by Chris Williams. Grown on Malmesbury shale and decomposed granite, these trellised vines allow us to precisely manage the canopy to enhance fruit, complexity and balance. VINIFICATION Hand harvested and cooled overnight, this was whole-bunch pressed to restrain phenolics, yet was fermented with a high percentage of solids to give breadth and definition to the palate. 55% was fermented in seasoned tight-grain French oak Allier and Compiègne hogsheads and 45% of the wine in 500 and 1000...

A Rhône-inspired white blend of marsanne and roussanne from the Turkey Flat vineyards in Bethany and Stone Well; whole-bunch pressed with some skin contact and a portion aged in new oak. Pale straw with some intriguing struck flint and cordite notes layered above the juicy white peach, lemon and apple fruit base. Hints of nougat, toasted almonds, crème fraîche, white flowers and ginger complete the picture. Dry with a lovely textural component, a minerally acid line and excellent clarity on the finish. Excellent bone dry prosecco that ticks all the boxes. Pure fruit, excellent persistent bead, crisp acidity and clean, dry finish. DOCG quality through and through. Conegliano lies in the Valdobiaddene region of Veneto from which the very best of prosecco is sourced.. In terms of prestige in the hierarchy of prosecco it sits 2 rungs below the subregion of Cartizze (see Villa Sandi for our version).There are many other cheaper versions available in the market but for the few dollars more that the good stuff demands in price, there really is no point in skimping.
