93/100 - Cameron Douglas MS - "An enticing bouquet with complexity and purity of fruit leading to a plate of the same. Flavours brown pears and golden apples, some white nectarine, lees and quince suggestion surrounded by a layer of spice and suggestions of site and sandy soils. The lees add complexity and mouthfeel, some older oak use adds complexity and breadth, the fruits layer in purity and mid-palate flavours. Balanced and well made with a decent level of complexity and lost of style. Best drinking from 2024 through 2029".
5 Stars (94/100) - Sam Kim (Wine Orbit) - "It's elegantly expressed on the nose, showing Asian pear, apricot, fig and lemon peel nuances, followed by a beautifully weighted palate delivering silky texture backed by bright acidity, finishing long and refreshing. Delightfully poised with rounded mouthfeel, making it fabulously appealing. At its best: now to 2027. www.rockburn.co.nz. July 2024."
5 Stars (93/100) - Candice Chow (Raymond Chan Wine Reviews) - "Bright, even, pale straw yellow. The nose is softly full, opening with aromas of quince, pear, stonefruit, fennel pollen, white florals and ginger. Medium-full bodied, aromas of Nashi pear, quince and ripe apricot melded with frangipani, fennel pollen and a touch of ginger on the finish. The fruit is juicy, supported by a fresh line of acidity. Red-tea-like phenolics lightly textured and linger with substance. This Pinot Gris is fresh and succulent with a textural mouthfeel and an appetising finish. Match with pulled pork and chicken over the next 3-4 years. Fermented in stainless steel and older French oak, 13% alc, 3.1g/l RS. 18.5/20 (93 pts) Jul 2024"
