Cabernet sauvignon sourced from vineyards in Light Pass and Vine Vale; matured in a selection of 65/35% French/American oak barrels for 16 months. Deep magenta in the glass with aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and black cherry. Plenty of spice and earth with hints of scattered herbs, licorice and a light dusting of amaro in the background. Deep, resonant and fruit pure, there is structure here for cellaring and a rising ride of rich, blackberry pastille-like fruit on the long finish. 94 points.
