While Oakridge has taken fruit from the Hyde Park Vineyard in Coldstream for some time, this is just the second vineyard series release from the site. Matured in French barriques (30% new) for 15 months. A very bright crimson purple. Fragrant with dark fruits, brown spices and violets. A little blackstrap licorice too. Compact and structured, the tannins build slowly on the long, sculpted finish. 96 points.
