100% Chardonnay. Bianco Bianco is a naturally semi-sparkling wine made for Rocca delle Macìe in the province of Trento, within one of the most suitable areas for the cultivation of grapes intended for the production of spumante. Once harvested, the Chardonnay (100%) grapes are fermented without the skins, and then the base wine undergoes natural second fermentation. Bianco Bianco is fresh and fragrant, with overtones of just-ripe fruit. It has a fine, persistent bead that makes it suitable both as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to fried vegetable or fish platters.

Ruinart is the oldest of all the Champagne houses and produces a wine based mostly on Chardonnay. On the palate this Champagne delivers a lovely balance of minerality, toast and lively acidity, mingling with stone fruit and citrus flavors. HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION 2024 A pinot noir-dominant blend with 36 months on lees and a dosage of just over 8 g/L. The palest of blushes in the glass with aromas of red apple, cranberry and raspberry along with hints of tart tartin, biscuity spice, roasted cashews, lemon butter, white flowers and stone. There is lovely red-fruited richness and a swell of biscuity complexity that expands before being reeled in by crystalline acidity scooting off for a sustained finish. 94 points.

Excellent bone dry prosecco that ticks all the boxes. Pure fruit, excellent persistent bead, crisp acidity and clean, dry finish. DOCG quality through and through. Conegliano lies in the Valdobiaddene region of Veneto from which the very best of prosecco is sourced.. In terms of prestige in the hierarchy of prosecco it sits 2 rungs below the subregion of Cartizze (see Villa Sandi for our version).There are many other cheaper versions available in the market but for the few dollars more that the good stuff demands in price, there really is no point in skimping.
