I feel certain that 2016 is the most interesting and fun early Brunello vintage I have ever dealt with. I have used 2010 as my benchmark vintage brunello for the past decade at least. Back in the day when it and I were younger - the 2010 was a revelation for my work with Brunello and remains a major benchmark against more recent releases.
Where the 2016 matches and possibly transcends the 2010 is its sense of excitement, fruit forward and rambunctious energy that makes it very hard to ignore - even at this relatively early stage.
