 This is an enormously appealing wine with its pleasantly ripe, plummy fruit and silky texture, freshness, and subtle underlying tannic structure. The grapes come from a 0.77-hectare parcel in premier cru Toussaints that was originally planted in 1969. They are partly destemmed and gently fermented before ageing in cask (30% new), most of which come from Cavin and François Frères. The result is a wine of elegance and finesse. (CC)  (10/2022)

 A slightly more elegant, and certainly more expressive, nose features notes of both red and dark currant, violet and pretty spice wisps. The sleek, delineated and utterly delicious medium weight flavors exude a more evident bead of minerality on the balanced, sneaky long and youthfully austere finale. Like the Bataillère, this would benefit from developing better depth though more should develop if given a chance. * Outstanding!*  (4/2023)
