In the 17th century, Arnaud Ducasse purchased land in Pauillac that was to become Château Grand Puy Ducasse. The château was classified as a 5th Growth, in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. This chateau is highly unusual in that it is located in the heart of Pauillac. Grand-Puy Ducasse is one of the leaders of this appellation.

The 2020 Grand Puy Ducasse is another fabulous wine from a château that has been on an impressive streak over the last few years. It is elegant, polished, sophisticated, full-bodied, layered, powerful, and age-worthy with serious structure, velvety tannins, and terrific energy. The finish is long and seamless. 

The beautiful palate supplies blackcurrant, tobacco, graphite, mocha, licorice, cedar, mushroom, chocolate, and wet earth flavors. Drink from 2025-2050. Enjoy it with pan-fried skirt steak with morels.
