An elegant and expressive Saint-Emilion wine

The estate

Located on the edge of Pomerol and on the western part of the Saint-Emilion appellation, Chateau La Dominique is one of the most prestigious estates on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. Audacity, precision and generosity are the key words to describe Chateau La Dominique and its exquisite wines.

The vineyard

Chateau La Dominique 2021 is a Saint-Emilion wine made from a 25-hectare vineyard. The vines are 30 years old on average and enjoy an exceptional terroir composed of clay-gravel, clay-limestone and sandy soils on a clay sub-layer.

Vinification and aging

The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates and vinified in temperature-controlled truncated cone-shaped vats. The wine is aged for 14 months in barrels (50% new, 40% second-fill barrels) and 10% in vegetal egg polymers, amphorae and wine globes.

The blend

Chateau La Dominique 2021 comprises a blend of Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (13%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (2%).
