The deep, dark black-purple color isn't quite opaque. The nose shows lovely, intense, slightly meaty, high ripeness, dark-fruit. The palate is fresh & medium to full-bodied with ripe, rich black-fruit opening superbly. The rich structure is supple & ripe, balancing the wine's warming alcohol. Elegantly handled oak shows as exotic spices on a long & structured finish. The finish balances juicy dark-fruit fruit, gripping tannins & chocolatey suppleness. 04/23 DCAMW.
