Deep Woods Estate Shiraz et Al 2022 [JR 94]

COLOUR Deep crimson with bright purple hues. AROMA Crushed mulberry and blackberry, with savoury layers of woody spice and black pepper. PALATE The palate is generous and vibrant, loaded with juicy plum and black cherry character. Notes of black pepper and sweet spice add complexity. Tannins are fine and pervasive creating length and savoury texture. CELLARING This wine may be enjoyed on release but will find further complexity over three to four years from vintage.

"The 'et al' here are malbec and tempranillo, so this is a spicy, savoury and juicy red. It is immediately appealing with dark red fruits mixed with red licorice and warm spices. Fuller bodied but not weighty, with grainy tannins and an appealing rusticity. 92 points."
