Hand picked and sorted, 30% whole bunches, three weeks on skins, matured in French puncheons (10% new) for 14 months. A bright, medium purple. Not a blockbuster by any means; there's a lovely lightness of touch here with its core of red fruits, florals and spice. The palate is medium bodied and nicely concentrated with very fine-grained and persistent tannins resonating on the long and precise finish. Built to age effortlessly. 96 points.
