TASTING NOTE This wine is intense garnet in colour with ruby hues. On the nose, there are complex aromas of ripe plum, blackberry and blackcurrant combining with layers of cocoa, sweet spice and tobacco notes. This wine exhibits an earthy minerality, a common characteristic of wines made from grapes sourced from the low yielding ‘Viña Lanciano’ estate. This wine has a long, lingering finish.

LAN a Mano is produced from the varieties Tempranillo (85%), Mazuelo (10%) and Graciano (5%). The grapes originate from old vines of about 35 years old from Pago "El Rincón" (corner), from the farmlands of Viña Lanciano, a spectacular location in Rioja.

For its production, the alcoholic fermentation process is conducted in small cone shaped containers, this method helps to obtain a better colour extraction. Subsequently, the malolactic fermentation is carried out in new French oak barrels.

Finally, in the same barrels used for the malolactic fermentation process, LAN a Mano spends 5 months being aged, that and in addition to, spends a further 4 months of ageing in new Russian oak.
